Question: which guitar should I get?

Answer #1:

Get a starter kit. They are for starters (hence the name) and it is a good idea for your first electric guitar to be a piece of crap because you will probably mess it up in some way.

Answer #2:

I wouldn't recommend a started kit. It would be much better getting everything separate. they come with a really cheap amp. The guitar might be okay but to be safe, you should get everything separate.

All the equipment depends on what style you would like to learn. You can get all this stuff at guitarcenter or sam ash.

I would recommend a squir strat or a epiphone. try them both out. See which is more comfortable and which you like the sound of more. Make sure you use the same amp and for both.

Amps: I would go with something cheap under a 100 dollars. A crate MX10 is really good for a starter in my opinion. I used one of those for a really long time before I got a real amp.

Hope this helps.

Answer #3:

Depends on your style.
Most Likely a Squier Strat or an Epiphone Les Paul... You can get a Mockingbird or Warlock on Musiciansfriend if you like those too.. Depends on your playing style and your taste for the look and feel of your guitar... I'm a Mockingbird user myself and their pretty awesome

Answer #4:

I personally LOVE an Ibanez RG. That was my starter guitar, well except for a little walmart typee brand one i had for a couple months. They are really good for playing in the first couple years, for practice or even for gigs. I play at my church with it every week and it has a great tone and the pickups I absolutley LOVE and so do all my friends. They are great. I got mine new at a guitarcenter for about 350, but im sure you can find one on eBay or somewhere for a little cheaper.
