Answer #1:

try an ibanez GRX20

Answer #2:

You should be able to find a good guitar for that kind of money.
Yes, there are better ones in that price range. Look at a few pawn shops, look at ebay, shop around.
Find someone else that plays, and ask them where they bought theirs.
Alternatively, you could try asking a bunch of opinionated A-holes on the internet what they think of some model that you found at some online music store. I would consider that to be a bit risky.
Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it.

Answer #3:

hey how much are Danelectro guitars in UK? me and my brother we got 5, among others and in US we get em on Ebay for like sometimes $200 (140 pounds?) they aint for metal but they play better then any others for the money and got really good necks. if u really need a metal guitar look at fernandes we got 1 allmost blows the house down , its got a floyd rose wammy

watever u do DONT get a new guitar get a used one cuz it cost more new! email me if i can help ok

Answer #4:

Ibanez GRG is probably your best bet in that price range if you want a whammy bar, but I wouldn't bother with the whammy bar because in that price range you'll only get a cheap, non-locking one that will go out of tune every time you use it. You'll end up stashing the whammy bar somewhere and sticking a block of wood in it to keep your guitar in tune and you'll have wasted money. If you want a guitar with a whammy bar, get one with a Floyd Rose or other locking tremelo or you're wasting your money and will be very frustrated. The cheapest guitars I know of that have a Floyd Rose are made by Dean. They're OK guitars but I wouldn't probably buy one myself.
